Anticipation is growing for the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Running Festival: over 1,000 foreigners have already registered
News for the 51km Ultra Trail route
Five months before the event, the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Running Festival confirms its international appeal, registering more than 1,600 participants, of which over 1,000 were runners of 46 different nationalities and from 35 foreign countries, an overall increase of 107% compared to 2024.
The event’s tourist and sports appeal is confirmed by the countries of Central and Northern Europe, with large groups of participants who They will come from Austria, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Estonia, but not only, with runners who will run through the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene on December 6th and 7th, also coming from Australia, Brazil, and Canada.
The event’s other key feature, its gender quota, continues to be proven, with 54% of participants being women.
The new feature for the 2025 edition of the event concerns the race dedicated to trail enthusiasts: the second edition of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Ultra Trail 51km will continue to take trail runners along the official route of the Cammino delle Colline di Conegliano e Valdobbiadene, but with a substantial difference compared to 2024. The start will be in Vittorio Veneto with the finish line scheduled in Vidor, thus following the route in reverse.
This change, in addition to bringing a substantial technical change with the most difficult section of the route (the ascent of Monte Baldo) at the beginning of the race, will allow all participants to reach the finish line in the heart of the event Village. On Saturday, December 6th, the trail runners will be welcomed by all the participants who will be in Vidor that day to pick up their equipment for the races on Sunday the 7th. This will allow many participants to contribute their warm applause and reward the trail runners’ efforts.
An additional refreshment point will also be added along the route (bringing a total of four), offering the opportunity to enjoy traditional Venetian products in addition to the mandatory technical supplies for this type of race.
“We are working to improve the running experience, both from a technical and tourist standpoint,” – comments Race Director Mauro Miani – “because after the first edition, the unique nature of this race clearly emerged, which is approached by both expert trail runners and walkers interested in testing themselves in a competition while also keeping an eye on the landscape and food and wine context. The Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Ultra Trail will therefore offer the right mix of a technical course with repeated ups and downs, and an undeniably spectacular landscape, with the opportunity to stop and savor the experience to the full.”
So, see you on December 5th, the opening date of the dedicated Village, at the Multifunctional Center in Vidor (TV), where side events dedicated to running and food and wine will await participants.
